UPDATE: Greta Berlin, an organizer with the Free Gaza Movement, has just told Al Jazeera English that their lawyer in Israel has told them that 10 people have been killed as a result of the Israeli attack on the "Freedom Flotilla" aiming to break the Gaza blockade. See below for more:
The Israeli Navy has reportedly attacked the Turkish boat that is part of the “Freedom Flotilla” loaded with humanitarian aid and 600 Palestine solidarity activists. The flotilla was heading towards Gaza in an attempt to break Israel’s blockade.
A "tweet" from the Free Gaza movement, one of the organizations that headed the flotilla, reports, “At about 4:30 am, Israeli commandos dropped from helicopter onto deck of Turkish ship, immediately opened fire on unarmed civilians.”
According to Turkish television, at least two people have been killed and dozens, perhaps up to 50, have been injured. Those injured may include European parliamentarians who were traveling with the boat.

Protests are being called for across the country and the world. In New York, according to several sources, a protest has been called for 3 p.m. Monday in Times Square.
The six boats were reportedly in international waters at the time of the Israeli attack.

Turkey has also reportedly summoned Israel’s ambassador based in Ankara, the Turkish capital, according to Electronic Intifada co-founder Ali Abunimah. Iara Lee, who is on one of the boats, is reporting that thousands of people in Turkey are protesting outside the Israeli consulate, and there are also reports of thousands of people in Turkey storming the consulate.

Israel attacks ships in international waters!
The Israelis complain that their boarding parties met with resistance! Of course nobody has the right to resist Israelis! That is the basis of their brutality when the Palestinians resist the murderous onslaught regularly inflicted by the Israelis. But they resisted us! How dare they!

Im watching this on the news right now and Israel has reported that they found weapons ready to use on the Turkish ship. What a lie. They placed those guns there themselves. This is the news that is going to be shown to the rest of the world. Israel is telling their country that 16 Israeli's died , only ten did. They also said that the 9 Turkish people they have killed and the other they have wounded along with a 1 year old boy are now in their hospitals being care of. ISRAEL STOP MAKING UP CRAP. The Israeli presidents spokesperson Benjamin Netanyahu said, and I quote, ''if they had been really interested in the well-being of the people of Gaza they would have accepted the offers of Egypt or Israel to transfer humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, along with the other 15,000 tons sent every week." The money and food gathered before was never sent to Gaza by Israel. Its one big lie. Why else would they act this way to the flotilla? Is it a crime to make sure of the well being of a country ? I was watching the ship live and the israilies started coming down on the ropes from the helicopter and started gunning. The white flag was shown this is to state that they were not there to fight but to get peace. The innocent people was unarmed and most of them were lke Dr, Jurnalists etc. There were people from Greece, Turkey, English, pakistan and from all different backgrounds.The ship was full of needs for the gaza people. israel is not letting these goods to go to the place where people are in need and this is not right.

Many of you are right. Israel should not have boarded any of the ships. They should have warned them to redirect their course to the Israeli port so that their cargo could be inspected and sent to the gaza.
If they failed to change their course, Israel should have sunk any ship that refused. Most unfortunately, Israel is too humane. Israel is at WAR.
