The word "chutzpah" is often misused by people who don't have much knowledge of Yiddish, as Michael Wex writes in Born to Kvetch. (http://www.the-yiddish-world-of-michael-wex.com/) It does not mean "audacity," Wex notes; it means sheer, shameless gall, like propositioning the widow at her husband's funeral. The classic definition is someone who murders their parents and then begs for mercy because he's an orphan.

There is a more serious political issue here. Braunshtein is apparently smart enough to know he can't get away with claiming that Obama is a Muslim, so he says that most Jews–"at least the ones that are proud of their religion and practice it" – won't vote for someone whose father was a Muslim and whose middle name is Hussein.

Yeah, I agree with the writer of this post. But what can you expect from Braun - a vapid Fashionista who could barely cobble together a readable bigoted press release. My sense is that most American Jews will vote Democratic - and hence for Barack Obama - contrary to the other right-wingers Braun got signed up on his "Jews Against Obama" list. Jews are some of the most loyal Democratic voters.
Apart from the politics, Braun no doubt is looking to cash in on his and others' bigotry. I am sure those 1,000 or so people he claims he has signed up for "Jews Against Obama" will be getting mailings hawking Braun's cheap ass and way over priced clothing real soon.

i was wondering who had more chutzpah than selling $1500 used leather jackets in the space where cbgb's used to be when it is supposed to be affordable housing. but this, this is multi-chutzpadik.
blacks and jews started the naacp, they were equally affected by the jim crow period in the south. many businesses and institutions had signs saying "no coloreds, no jews, no dogs". this from two sources: my jewish daddy, & a folksinger i fairly recently heard who actually had a song about this very same topic!
isn't the Fair Trade Commission helpful in any of this selling of racism? it used to be so cheap!
Who cares? The schmucks dropping $250 on this gear might as well be wearing a $250 sign that says "I'm a schmuck!"
Praise Allah that the schmucks stay downtown and in Billy-burg, where paying $250 to advertise someone else's balls is considered classy.
We are a world full of schmucks! Apollo Braun, is a schmuck for being a peddler of overpriced, semi-bigoted t-shirts. The poor schmucks who buy his cheap drek are rich schmucks. According to the above poster the folks downtown and in Billy-burg are schmucks.

So there you have it, this Braun fellow is peddling the lowest form of internet rumor about Obama - is a goddamn Muslim! If he is a Muslim, will then he's a terrorist.
Good Lord. I knew that things were pretty bad on Obamaâs âMyBOâ social networking site, but I thought they had things under control.

As Iâve been writing this post, they took that site down. But Iâve got a screencap of the whole thing; hereâs the top of it.
No wonder creeps like George Galloway feel so comfortable with Obama.
